Steeped in history yet defined by innovation, Glasgow’s breathtaking Victorian architecture and traditional welcoming embrace have provided a stately inheritance for the city’s commercial resurgence and cultural vigour.

Merchant City
There are lots of little independent boutiques to buy affordable one-offs in the Merchant City – from vintage emporiums Mr Ben's and Brigitte to the exquisiteItalian tailoring at The Italian Centre, home to Emporia Armani. With a presence in the city for over ten years, it's the place to go for luxuriously minimal classics.
The West End
Cool one-off boutiques, quirky interiors shops and independent galleries are just some of the places that give Glasgow's west end its unique bohemian character. With a host of lovely cafes, bars and delis to take in, the enchanting Ruthven Lane and the new Ruthven Mews retail development, situated only a stones throw from Byres Road, is an undiscovered treasure trove of delights.
SouthSide
A sense of Glasgow's shipbuilding history is revealed in the south side. But these days, new communities are emerging, throwing up an edgy cultural mix of neighbourhood shops, bars and cafes, against a backdrop of some of Glasgow's finest Victorian architecture and lush, green parkland.
Glasgow has a great choice of smart, modern shopping-centres to choose from, and they're all just a short jaunt from the city centre.
